Anaemia in Everyday Life: Tiredness, Weakness and When to Check Your Iron

“Bas thakan hi nahi jaa rahi” – log isko work stress, age, ya “weak body” bol ke chhod dete hain. Kabhi-kabhi iske peeche simple reason hota hai: haemoglobin low, yaani anaemia.

Anaemia ka matlab hai blood me oxygen carry karne ki capacity kam. Symptoms me fatigue, halki saans phoolna on exertion, paleness (especially inner eyelids, nails), dizziness, hair fall, brittle nails, cold hands–feet include ho sakte hain. Women me heavy periods bhi reason ho sakte hain; kabhi-kabhi diet, pregnancy, gut absorption issues, ya chronic disease bhi cause hota hai.

Iron deficiency sabse common type hai, lekin har anaemia iron se related nahi. Isliye blindly iron pills start karne se pehle blood test karwana smarter hai—CBC + iron studies etc. Doctor fir decide kar sakta hai ki kya supplement chahiye, kitne time ke liye, aur saath me root cause kya manage karna hai.

Diet me iron sources—green leafy veggies, beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, jaggery (limited), fortified foods, non-veg logon ke liye meat—plus vitamin C (nimbu, amla, citrus) absorption improve karte hain. Chai/coffee immediately after meals kabhi-kabhi iron uptake ko reduce kar sakte hain.

Agar daily life normal tasks me hi lagataar thakavat, chakkar, ya heartbeat fast feel ho, to “I’m just lazy” assume karne ke bajay ek simple blood test kara lena worth hai.
