Antenatal (Pregnancy) Visits: What Happens at Each Trimester Check-Up

Pregnancy ke 9 mahine me antenatal visits ek roadmap jaisi hoti hain—mother aur baby dono ki health monitor karne ke milestones.

First trimester (up to 12 weeks) me confirmation, due date estimate, basic blood tests (blood group, haemoglobin, thyroid, infections), urine test, and early scan hota hai. Doctor diet, folic acid/other supplements, nausea manage karne, and lifestyle ke bare me guide karta hai.

Second trimester me growth, BP, weight, sugar screening (gestational diabetes check), detailed anomaly scan (baby organs ka structure dekhna) jaise steps include hote hain. Baby movements feel hona start ho jata hai, jisse mother ka connection aur strong lagta hai.

Third trimester me visits thodi frequent ho jaati hain. Focus rehta hai BP, swelling, baby position, placenta status, fluid level, and labour planning pe. Doctor delivery place, warning signs (bleeding, fluid leakage, reduced movements, high BP symptoms) clearly explain karta hai.

Har visit doubt-clearance ka chance bhi hai—work, travel, exercise, sex, sleep, pain, mood changes, sab puch sakte ho. Online info se overload hone ke bajay apne doctor ke saath open communication maintain karna zyada helpful hai.

Antenatal care ka main goal hai complications ko early pakadna, mother ko confident rakhna, aur delivery ke time surprise kam se kam rakhna.
